19th Century Fine Indian Boar Tusk Primer Powder
Fine black powder primer flask most likely Anglo-indian period. Constructed from a fine boar tusk with beautiful patina and mounted with silver decoration. An interesting sun face is prominent on the centre of the flask. This symbol is synonymous with the Hindu sun God Suriya devta. The flask is finished with a lovely fitting screw on cap for a tight seal. The fastening chain is missing but overall in excellent condition.
