19th Century North Indian Gold Hilted Tulwar
A fine example of a north Indian Tulwar. The literally perfect hilt is lavishly covered with gold, decorated with detailed floral patterns. The hilt is mounted with a wide Tulwar blade which is cut with three fullers and much of its original polish remains. The blade is well balanced and still holds a sharp edge. Two eyelash markings are stamped on to one side of the blade. The hilt is in perfect condition, and amazing example of an Indian classic.
