
Early 19th Century Indian Matchlock Torador Musket
Intricately decorated Indian Torador Musket from the state of Rajasthan. Barrel is banded with silver wire to the forestock and matchlock & trigger mechanism works perfectly, pan no longer has its cover. Mother of pearl decoration is almost perfect. Barrel has a dark even patina. These type of muskets were heavily used on Indian battlefields as well as for hunting large game. Provenance – Stratford Armouries UK.
