Early 19th Century Khyber/Afghan Knife
Here we have a complete example of the Afghan fighting blade known as the Khyber knife. The long blade is strong, re-enforced with the T-spine and still very sharp. The full tang grip is comprised of ribbed wooden slabs and there is a lanyard ring on the flat pommel. The knife comes with a black hide covered wooden scabbard finished with metal chape to the tip and mid section. This Khyber knife is more of a short sword than a knife and is a fine example of the great weapon.
