Why do you require proof of age / identification? 

We do not sell or provide services to those under the age of 18.

In the UK, the sale of antique blades is permitted under exemptions within legislation such as the Offensive Weapons Act 2019, provided the items are genuinely antique (generally over 100 years old). We take this responsibility seriously by carrying out strict age verification checks on all purchasers to ensure compliance with UK law. In addition, all items are dispatched using age-verified delivery services, meaning parcels are only handed over to individuals who can provide valid proof of age upon receipt. This ensures that every transaction is conducted lawfully, responsibly, and with full regard to current regulations.

New customers must provide proof of identification when registering for an account. We DO NOT store copies of identification and the copies are deleted once and account is verified.

Do you make genuine wootz steel?

Yes. We make all varieties of historical wootz steels. We currently house the largest database of antique blade analysis and can reproduce all historical wootz blade styles and chemstistries.

Can you make laddered wootz?

Yes. We make all types of antique wootz patterns.

Do you sell wootz steel ingots or billets?

Yes. Please get in touch and we can try and assist.

Do you take custom orders for knives, daggers and swords?

Yes. We accept a few small number of orders each year. Please register for an account and submit your request for quotation.

What services do you provide?

Everything and anything relating to antique arms and armour, from making wootz, forging blades, leather working, wood working, antique musket repairs to decorative arts such as koftgari, inlay, enamelling and much more. We practice traditional methods that would have been identical to those used on antique weaponry produce hundreds of years ago. Please get in touch if there is a specific area of expertise you would like to enquiry about. 

We also provide free appraisals of antiques, quotations and scientific lab elemental analysis of materials.

Do you sell antique arms and armour?

Yes, but only to help our friends and clients regarding items they would like to move on.

Are items shipped to you insured?

Yes, but only in the event of theft. This has never happened and risk is extremely small, but every quotation includes a small insurance cost for the duration of the project for the value stated by the client at time of placing the order.

Can we visit the workshop, office or drop of a project in person?

Yes. Due to time constraints, it can be sometimes challenging to arrange a suitable time to visit, so it is recommend that projects and shipped to us.

Do you offer training or workshops for people looking to learn?

Yes. We conduct introductory workshops periodically throughout the year. Please keep an eye on our events page or get in touch to express your interest.
